BRAUNDEMPTION! NL MVP Ryan Braun’s 50-game suspension was overturned Thursday by baseball arbitrator Shyam Das, the first time a baseball player successfully challenged a drug-related penalty in a grievance.
Said Braun, “I look forward to finally being able to speak to the fans and the media on Friday and then returning the focus to baseball and working with my Brewers teammates on defending our National League Central title.”
This is fantastic news, for both the Brewers and for baseball. Ashes to the assholes who self-righteously broke the accusations based on dirty info. Welcome back to the first round draft BB Braun!
Meanwhile, I’d like to point out that my honey meatball Shaun Marcum predicted this result in an interview yesterday at spring training, “He’s not here yet, so the media circus hasn’t hit us yet. But my personal opinion, I think he’s going to win it. Then when he goes, it will be nice. He can deal with it one day with the press if he wants to, then put it behind him, we can all put it behind us and go out there and focus on our job and get back to the post-season and focus on baseball and not something that happened in the off-season.”
